FINANCE FOR ALL - A Better Understanding of Finance for Non-Finance Practitioners

Understanding the real language of every business in this pressing time is fundamental to all entrepreneurs, managers and even to the staff. Letting them realize the importance of every single figure in the financial statements would let them feel their relevance towards the financial viability of their organization. The two-day seminar was designed to help entrepreneurs understand the language of business using the cash and funds flow approach which they are more familiar with.

The course shall tell the story of numbers in an enterprise through understanding, constructing, and analyzing the various financial statements. It aims to enable the participants to have an appreciation of how the external environment affects how they manage their cash and funds flow. The course shall also point out pitfalls that entrepreneurs should avoid in managing their funds. Lastly, it shall unlock the hidden insights buried in financial statements which shall enable the participants to better manage their enterprises.

RESOURCE SPEAKER PROF. MAURINO P. BOLANTE of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM). Prof. Bolante is on the core faculty of the W.Sycip Graduate School of Business (WSGSB) where he is Program Director of MBA 2009. He was the former Program Director of Master in Business Management 2003 and 2005. He also served on the faculty of the Master in Entrepreneurship (ME) Program and was a Senior Consultant at the Asian Center for Entrepreneurship (ACE).
