 |
ABS-CBN Bayan Academy for Social Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Development is a non-stock, non-profit educational foundation in the Philippines. It is committed to the mission of democratizing entrepreneurship and management education in the country. Adhering to this advocacy, Bayan Academy developed several programs to provide the people behind micro, small and medium scale enterprises and social development organizations with good quality entrepreneurship and management education programs. This way, they could act towards fully attaining their institution’s goals and direction. Today, about 150 microfinance institutions and rural banks are rolling out our Grassroots Entrepreneurship and Management (GEM) program to about one million microfinance borrowers. About 12 schools and universities in the country have adopted the academic curriculum on entrepreneurship which is now helping microfinance practitioners sharpen their skills in coaching and mentoring microentrepreneurs on effective business management. | |
