The Macro Environment
The framework used for the Macro Environment Assessment is the SPEET or the social, political, economic, ecological or technological factors that govern the enterprise or strategizing organization. These have to do with the huge forces that influence major movements in the relevant environment. The course defines the SPEET factors and suggests ways of analyzing them. In doing the SPEET analysis, the course would also share four tried and tested techniques, which are:

Micro Market Analysis
The Micro-Market is the subset of the Market which the organization wants to capture in the immediate future. Micro markets are clearly defined locations, market segment or specific customer groups which an organization wishes to serve.

RESOURCE SPEAKER/S

DR. EDUARDO A. MORATÓ, JR., is the former Dean of the Asian Institute of Management and now concurrent President of ABS-CBN Bayan Foundation and Bayan Academy for Social Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Development. Dr. Morató, Jr. has been an educator since 1975. He has constantly introduced new degree and non-degree programs at the Asian Institute of Management where he held various positions. He was Dean of the Institute, Dean of the Graduate School of Business, Associate Dean for the Asian Center for Entrepreneurship and Associate Dean for the Center for Development Management. He conceptualized and developed the very innovative and popular Master in Entrepreneurship and the highly socially relevant Master in Development Management. He redesigned the Master in Management into a Business Leadership course for mid-career executives. His other involvements in the field of education include board directorship and chairmanship of the Assumption College. He has lectured extensively all over the Philippines on Education Management and assisted institutions on strategic planning.

MR. LEVI P. VERORA is currently the Director of the Area and Industry Development for Entrepreneurship (AIDE) of ABS-CBN Bayan Foundation, Inc. With his Masters in Entrepreneurship (ME) gained from the Asian Institute of Management, Mr. Verora served different positions at the institute. He was former Director of the Knowledge Resource Center/Knowledge Creation Group and the Research Group. He also became a Program Manager and Senior Consultant of the Asian Center for Entrepreneurship at AIM. He was also formerly Senior Researcher, Senior Consultant, and Resource Faculty of AIM’s Development Management Program.
