In 2006, Sagip Kapamilya and ABS- CBN Bayan shifted to Southern Leyte to aid the victims of a landslide that swallowed Guinsaugon in February of that year. The population suffered losses of lives, livelihood, and shelter.

ABS-CBN Bayan built a Php 3.4 million 7-kilometer water system to serve the relocation sites in St. Bernard occupied by over 700 families from four barangays: Guinsaungon, Sug-angon, Ayahag and Nueva Esperanza.
Sagip Kapamilya provided Php 3.23M for the supplies and materials. Beneficiaries provided labor equity while the local government unit managed the technical implementation of the project in partnership with Philippine Business for Social Progress.
In November 2003, ABS-CBN Bayan helped the 330 relocated families to have direct water pipe connection. Water supply is also being made available to school buildings, daycare and livelihood center in the New Guinsaungon Village. |

| A Supplementary Feeding Program was implemented for Barangay Guinsaugon, Sug-augon, Ayahang and Nueva Esperanza together with Bantay Bata. The program lasted for 6 months. |
