ABS-CBN Bayan Foundation

With the aim to multiply its efforts in democratizing entrepreneurship and management education, ABS-CBN Bayan is encouraging institutions, who are into enterprise development, to cascade its Grassroots Entrepreneurship and Management program to their beneficiaries.

GEM is an Entrepreneurship Management Training program of ABS-CBN Bayan designed especially for micro and small entrepreneurs. Consisting of twenty (20) stand-alone modules, the GEM is a complete course on entrepreneurship covering three major areas: Self-Mastery, Enterprise Mastery and Situation Mastery. The learning tools and materials are highly interactive and visually appealing.

Since Bayan opened the franchising of GEM to other institutions, widespread adoption of GEM or Entrepskwela was ensured through 10 licensee organization. They are expected to use the training course materials in teaching entrepreneurship to their client communities. Among these organizations were Center for Community Transformation (CCT), Punla sa Tao, Inc., MILAMDEC, Alalay sa Kaunlaran (ASKI), Future Builders Computer Center, Inc., Taytay sa Kauswagan (TSKI), Notre Dame University, Bangko Kabayan (Ibaan Rural Bank) Inc. and Colegio San Agustin.

As a GEM Licensees, their organizations enjoy a non-exclusive license to use the GEM course and the copyrighted GEM Course Materials. The GEM kit includes:

20 GEM modules in Filipino and Visayan dialects (hard copy and soft copy)
Video clips that serve as illustration during the actual conduct of GEM training
Enterprise Creation and Procreation CD by Dr. Eduardo Morato
Manual for trainors
GEM guidelines
GEM License Certificate

Moreover, ABS-CBN Bayan grants the organization access to any new developments and innovations coming from a continuing Research and Development efforts by ABS-CBN Bayan which include new products, modules, equipment specifications and audio visual formats.
